When to Refer:

Simple Screening Questions

These quick questions can help identify patients who may benefit from physiotherapy. If you find yourself answering 'yes' to two or more of the following, it might be time to consider an early referral to EBR Physio. Early intervention can significantly reduce the risk of chronic issues and speed up recovery.
Check Your Symptoms

Has the issue lasted more than 2 weeks despite rest and simple pain relief?

If your pain or discomfort has persisted beyond two weeks, it may indicate a need for professional assessment.

Is it interfering with work, daily activities, or sleep?

When pain starts to disrupt your daily life, it’s a sign that physiotherapy could help restore your normal routine.

Has the patient had similar issues in the past that improved with physio?

Previous positive experiences with physiotherapy can be a strong indicator that it may be beneficial again.

Are there red flags (unexplained weight loss, night pain, waking from sleep)?

These symptoms could indicate a more serious underlying condition that requires immediate attention.
